Earlene Hulion Smith, 78, of 112 West Scotch Cross Road, widow of Joel Dwight Smith, died Friday, August 1, 2014 at her home. Born in Pensacola, FL, she was a daughter of the late Elishua and Onie Sheen Hulion. Earline was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Dianne Howington; and a son, Thomas Cowart. Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Lynn Smith Emerson and Kay Darlene Smith both of Greenwood; a sister, Maybelene Whitfield of Milton, FL; six grandchildren: Cintia Lanee Craven, Jessica Michelle Lewis, Tabathia Evans, Mickel Cowart, Rachel Chalmers and Steven Russell Chalmers; and five great grandchildren: Austin C.
