Eddie Wayne Bailey, 60, of 707 Chinquapin Road, husband of Julie Reichardt Bailey, died Monday, October 31, 2011 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of A. L. and Ruby Sexton Bailey. He attended Berkley School of Music and was a drummer for numerous bands including The Hole Crew, The Rooks, Kinfolk, The Swingin Medallions, Fabulous Expressions, REDS, The Heebee Jeebee's, Replay, Sensations and Ear Candy. He recently recorded "You Don�t Know Me ", which has been rising on the beach music charts. He most recently worked with David Weir providing landscape and irrigation systems. Eddie Wayne loved his family, his dog, Bongo, fishing and golf. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving is his wife of the home; his parents of Greenwood; two daughters, Paige Bailey and her significant other, Chip Funderburk, and Tara Bailey Rice and her husband, Greg, all of Greenwood; a son, Eddie Wayne Bailey, Jr. and his wife, Meeca, of Durango, CO; three grandchildren, Lily Claire Rice, Kambria Marie Bailey and Grayson May Bailey; two sisters, Tonya B. Cronic and Treva Bailey, both of Greenwood; his mother-in-law, Gail Gregory of Ninety Six; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ginny and Hugh Moseley and Penny Southerland, all of Greenwood. Pallbearers will be David Matthews, Ashby Stokes, Ronnie Goldman, Jeff Bailey, Doug Hulgan and Dan Proctor. Honorary escort will be friends of the music community along with Pete Dyess, Buckey Jones, Chris Alexander, John McElrath, Warren Lockaby, David Meadows, Richard Crocker, Dennis Patterson, Russell Hall, Dale Williams, Ken "Pita " Hall, Justin Waddell, Mike McLane, Dibble Cooper, Mark Bryan, Steve Hunt, Steve Eddy, Greg Alewine, Steve Watson, Tim Sanders, Josh Boatwright, Spencer Tilly and Ronnie Hancock.
