Wendell Eddie Young, 56, of 950 Dillard Road, Waterloo, husband of Terrie Odom Young, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Richland County, he was the son of the late James Eddie O'Kelley and Wretha Smallwood O'Kelley. Eddie was the owner and operator of Young's Automotive where he took over his father's business in 1979 and provided automotive services until he was no longer able to work. He attended Durst Avenue Church of God.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Kathaleen Young; and two brothers, Rusty O'Kelley and Paul Young.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Dustin Eddie Young, Jasper Young (Shanon Owen) both of Waterloo, Joey Wilkie of Honolulu, HI and Robert Odom (Shae) of Easley; five sisters, Wilma Sullivan of Ware Shoals, Flora White (Bobby) of Spartanburg, Janice Nelson (Butch) of Daytona Beach, FL, Carolyn Huntley (Billy) and Grace Sheffield, both of Jacksonville, FL; seven grandchildren, Jessyca Loftis (D.J.), Brandyn Norris (Lexie), Robert Carol, Lexi Young, Jennifer Young, Pyper Young and Destiny Young, all of Greenwood; nine extended grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 am on Monday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Robert Odom, Jim Turner, Brandyn Norris, Robert Carol, Dustin Young, Jasper Young and Joey Wilkie.

Honorary escort will be Darnell Quarles, Ken Yedell, Fletcher Lawrence, Eddie Fain, Rudy Adams, Hardy Abernathy, Tommy Harrison, Mike Ashley, Chip Cockrell, Timmy Robinson, Larry Robinson and Joey Robinson.

The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 10 to 11 am.
