Edgar Talmadge Johnson, 78, of 213 Frances Street, Greenwood, husband of Patricia Day Johnson, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Mino and Cleo Stone Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the US Air Force, was employed by Bi-Lo in Abbeville for over 20 years and retired from Greenwood Packing Plant. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and enjoyed golfing in his spare time. He is survived by his loving wife of the home; his daughters, Kathy Willis and her husband, Chris, of Greenwood and Dana Baker and her husband, Vince, of Hodges; his son, Phillip Johnson and his wife, Christi, of Irmo, SC; his brother, Curtis Johnson, of Greenwood; his grandchildren, Patrick Craven, Benji Baker and his wife, Jessica, Shanna Manley and her husband, Daniel, Caleb Baker, and Logan and Morgan Johnson of Irmo; and his great grandchildren, Kylee, Jordan, and Madelyn Manley, and Will and Aubree Baker. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Wayne Johnson. Honorary escort will be Olin Holden, L.R. Foster, Frank Bolton, Fred Smith, Danny Johnson and Kevin Johnson. The family is at the home.
