Edgar Ransom Turner, 83, of Greenwood, beloved husband of Judy Cost Turner, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023.

Born in Edgefield, South Carolina on May 9, 1940, Edgar was the son of the late Fredrick Stokes Turner and Ruby Mae Ransom Turner. He graduated from Edgefield High School and Piedmont Technical College where he earned two associate degrees. Edgar worked for Westinghouse Savannah River Site, where he served as an E & I technician and was an U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a devoted Christian and member of Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Randolph, William and John and sisters, Lois, Dora and Betty.
Edgar leaves behind his wife, Judy of 49 years, who he loved beyond measure; a brother, Coy Turner of Dayton, OH; and several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Barden officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 1-2 pm.
