Obituary

Edith McJunkin Parker, 83, 169 Pin Oak Drive widow of Alvin �Al� Walter Parker, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Hospice House. Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Marcus McJunkin and Essie Mae McJunkin. Edith was formerly employed by Milliken Textile and Rose�s Department store. She was a member of Laurel Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Beth P. Eakin and her husband, Tony, and Lisa P. Crawford and her husband, David; a son, Wally Parker and his wife, Lila, all of Greenwood; a sister, Lois Rhymer of Greenville; and five grandchildren, Erin Eakin, Anna Crawford, Lauren Parker, Allison Parker and Cody Eakin. She was preceded in death by twin daughters, who died at birth, four brothers and one sister. Pallbearers will be her nephews The family is at the home of her daughter, Lisa Crawford, 520 Olde Puckett Ferry Road, Greenwood.
