Edna Cannon Livingston Smith, 84, widow of Sidney Smith, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Laurens County Hospital. Born in Clinton, she was a daughter of the late John B. and Bessie Mae Williams Cannon. She was employed by Greenwood Mills, Sloan Plant, for 34 years and retired from Womeco. She was a member of Jordan Memorial Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society at NHC of Laurens. She was twice married, first to the late Paul C. Livingston, Sr. and was also preceded in death by a son, Paul C. Livingston, II. Surviving are three daughters, Paula Haynes and her husband, Jimmy, of Ninety Six, Marcia Day and Cindy Smith, both of Laurens; a son, George Livingston of Saluda; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
