Edward Fulmer Driggers, 81, of 427 Stevens Avenue, husband of Dorothy Stewart Driggers, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at his home. Born in St. Matthews, SC, he was a son of the late Eddie and Banner Furtick Driggers. Edward was a U. S. Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from Life of Georgia in 1993 and Joe Shirley Rental in 2004. Edward enjoyed fishing, hunting, all outdoor sports, an AVID Clemson Tiger fan and was a member of IPTAY for many years. He was a member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Jimmy Driggers and his wife Debra, Anne Hyde, all of Greenwood, Debbie Boyd of Myrtle Beach and Danny Driggers and his wife Lanita, of Piedmont; two brothers, Bobby Driggers and his wife Dot and Wilbur Driggers and his wife Janice, all of St. Matthews; two sisters, Mary Lois Shumate of St. Matthews and Margaret Rye and her husband Grover of Columbia; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
