Edward Jackson Miles, 77, of 206 Piedmont Ave, widower of Wanda Price Miles, died Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Garvin Vester Miles and Evelyn Rice Miles. Ed was a U. S. Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of Mathews Masonic Lodge 358. He retired from Saco Lowell and was a member of Mathews United Methodist Church. Ed was an avid Atlanta Braves and Carolina Gamecock fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Surviving are three sons, Edward "Davey" Davidson Miles, Randall "Randy" Miles and his wife, Cindy, and Richard "Ricky" Miles and his wife Pam, all of Greenwood; grandchildren: Kristen Miles Anderson and her husband, Joe, Megan Katherine Miles, Kendall Miles Gunter and her husband, Danny, James Rosson Miles, Jackson Connor Miles; great grandchildren: Ethan Brock Anderson, Emerson Adele Gunter and Edward Blake Anderson; and a step great grandchild, Wells Gray Gunter.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Burns, Jimmy Boggs, Glenn Witt, Joe Anderson, Tony Davis, Jeff Miller and Curtis Shedd.

Honorary escort will be Hoyt Bryant, Doug Young, Harold & Alice Doolittle, Michael Smith, Jesse Rearden, Joey Rearden, Mrs. Nada Banes and Sandy Gunter.
