Obituary

Edward Lee Vaughn, 87, of 511 Phoenix Road, husband of Virginia Leopard Vaughn, died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Charlie Norwood VAMC.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Theo Silvester and Betty Sue Brown Vaughn. He was self-employed as a house painter, served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Barry Vaughn and his wife, Sandra, of Richmond, VA, Patty Vaughn of Greenwood, and Roger Vaughn and his wife, Lois, of Orange Park, FL; a sister; ten grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Pastor Donald Ramsey officiating. Burial, with military rites, will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be members of the church.

Honorary escort will be Edward Colie Davis, III and Diane H. Davis.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
