Eleanor Floride Eldridge Brown Roland, 77, Bradley, widow of Wayne Roland, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Hospice House.
Born in Greenwood on November 14, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William Lee and Sarah Burnett Eldridge. She graduated from Greenwood High School in 1959. Eleanor retired from Kemet and also worked for Aldrich Machine Works and Coca-Cola. She was a member of the Mary Pickney Ouzts Order of Eastern Star and was of the Methodist faith.
She was twice married, first to the late William Earl Brown, and was preceded in death by an infant brother, William Lee Eldridge, Jr.
Surviving are three children, Barry Brown (Sherrie) of Greenwood, Dana Ramsey (Jack) of Hodges and Reta Nadzan of Warner Robins, GA; a brother, Eddie Wayne Eldridge and three grandchildren, Mia Brown (Kristin), Ari Brown and Aleigh Ramsey.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at Oakbrook Memorial Park with the Rev. Jason McCary and Rev. Frank Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Honorary escort will be her cousins, Earl Wrenn and Joel Burnett.
