Elinor Ann Miller, 95, widow of Erwin R. Miller, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at Wesley Commons.
Born on December 7, 1930, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruth Allen Snider. Elinor led a life filled with love, purpose, and countless cherished memories.
Elinor dedicated her professional life to serving as a law librarian with the American Council of Life Insurance in Washington, D.C.-a role she truly enjoyed. Outside of work, she was a vibrant member of her community and loved to connect with others. A proud member of PEO for over 70 years, she contributed to eight different chapters across the country. She also held memberships in the Ninety Six Chapter of the DAR and the Greenwood Woman's Club. Her love of music shone brightly, especially when she attended performances featuring her grandson, Matthew, celebrating his talent and passion.
Elinor's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Greenwood, SC.
Elinor was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Timothy Miller; her sister, Alicia Caley; and a son-in-law, Steven Oxenfield.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Oxenfield of St. Paul, MN and sons, Daniel Miller (Linda) of Greenwood, SC and Bradford Miller (Donna) of North Stonington, CT; her brother, Donald Allen "Al" Snider of Steamboat Springs, CO; grandchildren, Matthew Miller and Blake Oxenfield and great grandchildren, Isabel, Rowen, Alyssa, and Brody Oxenfield.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at Harley Funeral Home. Visitation will follow until 6:00 p.m.
