Ellah Lynn McBride, 1 year 9 months, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at MUSC Shaw Jenkins Children's Hospital.

Born in Greenwood, SC , she was the daughter of Kasey Mcallister. 

Ellah was a sweet girl, who never met a stranger. She greeted the world with a bright, beautiful smile that never faded, despite the health challenges she bravely faced. A joyful soul who absolutely adored Nemo, she taught everyone around her the true meaning of resilience and pure happiness. She was a joy to her family and left a giant impact on countless hearts in her brief but deeply meaningful time on earth. She will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever.

Along with her mother, she is survived by a sister, Audreyanna Cooper; grandmother, Lynn Perry; great grandmother, Betty Strawhorn; aunts, Sherry Terry (Steve), and Wendy Derrick (Shad); uncles, Keith Strawhorn (Suzie), and Bryan Strawhorn; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Roger Dale Mcallister and Michael Earl Perry and great grandfather, Wayman "Pete" Strawhorn. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Gethsemane Church with the Reverend Mark Lowe offiiciating. 

The family will receive friends at the home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 3610 Cokesbury Road, Hodges, SC 29653.

Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
