Ellen Derrick Addy, 72, of 216 Beach Drive, Ninety Six, wife of Carroll J. Addy, died Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at her home.

Born in Newberry, she was a daughter of Gussie Bundrick Derrick and the late Mayes Derrick. Ellen was formerly employed with Park Seed and was a member of New Market Baptist Church where she was a member of the Helping Hands Sunday school class and also sang in the choir.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home and mother of Newberry is a sister, Helen Hall, and her husband, Rev. William "Bill" Hall, of Strasburg, VA.

Graveside services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday at Newberry Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Stanley Sprouse officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
