Ellie Brown Smith, 89, of 101 St. Kitts Court, widow of Clyde D. Smith, Sr. died Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late George and Gertrude Stone Brown. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are two sons, Charles A. Smith of Chattanooga, TN and Clyde D. Smith, Jr. of Byram, MS; two sisters, Marge Henning and Betty Moore, both of Greenwood; a grandson, Chad Smith of Marietta, GA and great grandson Jakob Smith. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Boggs and Rev. Clyde Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home.
