Elsie Mae Peeler Powell, 86, of 725 Rockhouse Road, widow of Eugene F. Powell, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Hall County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Carl Allen and Lillie Smallwood Peeler. She was formerly employed by Greenwood Mills, Durst Plant, and was a member of Bold Spring Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Eric Inks; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Powell, and a brother, Clifford Peeler, all of Greenwood; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Jerry Eugene Powell and David Lee Powell.
