Ena Hall Cobb, 93, of 4802 Highway 178 North, widow of Walter Hampton Cobb, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her home. Born in Union, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Bradford and Bertha Gault Hall. She studied nursing at the Medical University of SC, Charleston and retired as a Postmaster of the US Postal Service in Hodges. She formerly served on the Hodges Cemetery Committee. Mrs. Cobb was a lifetime member of Hodges United Methodist Church, where she was a very active member until her health prevented her from attending. She was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Walter Cobb of Hodges and Thomas Banks Cobb of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Susan Nickles and her husband, Rusty, of Hodges, Jennifer Scruggs and her husband, John Mark, of Morristown, TN and Michael Cobb and his wife, Allison, of Alpharetta, GA; and eight great grandchildren, Michael Clary, Ryan Nickles and Robert Nickles, all of Hodges, Shelby Ann Scruggs and Savannah Scruggs, both of Morristown, TN, Hampton Cobb, Davis Cobb and AliGrace Cobb, all of Alpharetta, GA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Nickles; her brothers, Earl Hall and Woodrow �Joe� Hall and half brothers, Gordon B. Hall and Buck Hall.
