Eric Phillip Attaway, 47, of Waterloo, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Ronald Keith Attaway and Wanda Faye Tollison Swink. He attended Piedmont Technical College and was a member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church.

A skilled handy man, Eric had a knack for fixing anything thrown his way. He took pride in his work and took great joy from helping others. Outside of work, Eric enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, taking leisurely walks, and cherished his loyal fur companions, Sassy and Bookie. Eric's warm and welcoming nature endeared him to all who crossed his path. He had a big heart and was a friend to many, always ready to lend a helping hand.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jesse W. Tollison, Jr. and Harvey Attaway; and stepfather, Doug Swink.

Eric is survived by his grandmothers, Rachel J. Tollison "Joan" and Trudy Attaway Webb; sister, Martha Parks; aunts, Lynn Williams (Rocky Strickland), Jane Simmons (Tim), Sandra Sudduth (Marvin), Candy Attaway (Robbie), Carol Ann Barrett (Donnie), and Cindy Graham; niece, Brooklyn Baum; nephew, Jaylin Baum; and many cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters to him.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Timms and Mr. J.W. Walker officiating.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
