Ernest Arthur Duncan, 85, of 9512 Highway 178 South, Saluda, husband of Julia Watts Duncan, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Lee Vance and Bessie Banks Duncan. He was retired from Monumental Life Insurance Company and was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving in Africa and Europe. He attended Calvary Holiness Tabernacle. Surviving are his wife of the home; two sons, Aaron Duncan and his wife, Rita, of Greenwood and Kenneth Duncan of the home; a sister, Louise Lucero of Mauldin; two grandchildren, Al Duncan and Michelle Powers, both of Greenwood; six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Duncan.
