Ernest Owen Ridlehuber, Jr., 86, of 617 Willard Road, husband of Gertie Powell Ridlehuber, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at his home.
Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Ernest Owen Ridlehuber, Sr. and Alma Wilson Ridlehuber. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Georgia Southern. He was the retired owner of Ridlehuber Construction Company and was a US Army and Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, where he was a crew chief on a B36 Flight Crew. He was a member of Woodmen of the World, was a Mason, and a member of Rock Presbyterian Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his daughter, Linda R. Fisher of Coronaca; a predeceased son, Ernest Ridlehuber, III; ten grandchildren, John Calhoun, Matt Brown, Danielle Huff, Donnie Ridlehuber, Cherie Valters, Willson Fisher, Chelsea Makl, Skylar Fisher, Zana Fisher, and Harrison Fisher; and thirty great grandchildren.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Bethlehem Cemetery with the Rev. Stephen Evans officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
