Esther Bowers Thomas, 92, of 512 South Cambridge Street, Ninety Six, widow of Dr. Oliver L. Thomas, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Hospice House. Born in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Minnie Mills Bowers. Mrs. Thomas worked as a medical assistant in her husband�s clinic in Ninety Six for many years. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Surviving is her son, Mike Thomas and his wife, Olivia, and her daughter, Linda Thomas, all of Greenwood; grandchildren, Merri Lawson and her husband, Chris, of Winston-Salem, NC and Alexandra Thomas of Greenwood; and great grandchildren, Adam, Ellie and Zachary Lawson. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Cleo Hartman and her brothers, William Edward Bowers and J. C. Bowers. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Robert Todd and the entire staff of Hospice House.
