Obituary
Robert Evan Ridlehoover, 86, Greenwood, husband of Doris Bussey Ridlehoover, died Friday, May 13, 2016 at Hospice House.
Born in Plum Branch, he was the son of the late Luther William Ridlehoover and Mary Sue White Ridlehoover. Evan was an outdoors man; he enjoyed working in his yard and garden, golfing and fishing. He retired from the U. S. Forest Service and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Ridlehoover.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a daughter, Elaine Bridges Raper (Bruce) of Greenwood; a daughter-in-law, Katie Ridlehoover of Suwanee, GA; a grandson, Daniel Bridges of Plum Branch; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Monday at Plum Branch Cemetery with the Rev. John Noblin officiating.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 to 7 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice House, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646 or to The Plum Branch Cemetery Fund c/o Plum Branch Baptist Church, 106 Church Street, Plum Branch, SC 29845.
The family is at the home of his daughter Elaine.
