Mary Evelyn Fowler Barnett, 79, of 16101 Highway 72 West, Cross Hill, widow of Junious Caury Barnett, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Hospice House, Greenwod. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Calvin and I. B. Friddle Fowler. She was retired from Torrington and was a member of Lakeside Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she played the piano for several years. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel C. Barnett Sr. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Franklin of Cross Hill; a son, Thomas Odel Barnett of Cross Hill; an adopted daughter, Michelle Barnett of Abbeville; three sisters, Ruth Melvin of Greenville, Carolyn Sims of Charleston and Lindy Ashmore of Greenville; four brothers, Claude, Harold �BoBo�, Robert and Earl Fowler, all of Greenville; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
