Obituary

Wonna Faye Collins Turner, 87, formerly of 95 Lowell Street, Ninety Six, widow of Beaman Turner, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at NHC of Greenwood. Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late Burrell Collins and Jessie Vaughn Collins. Faye worked for Greenwood Mills-Ninety Six Plant for twenty four years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She retired from Capsugel and was a member of Ninety Six Church of God where she was in the Ladies Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sharpe; and by two brothers, Roger Collins and George Collins. Surviving are a son, Ray B. Turner, Jr. and his wife Louise, of Greenwood; three daughters, Vera Ridlehoover, Lois Chastain and her husband, Rick, all of Ninety Six and Doris Emasie and her husband Tom, of Lexington; son-in-law, Billy Sharpe of Turbeville; two sisters, Lillie Knight and June Williamson, both of Charleston; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren The family is at the home. 95 Lowell Street, Ninety Six.
