Florence Lawson Brown, 80, of 403 Sanders Drive, widow of George "Tug " Brown, Jr., died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Clinton, she was a daughter of Loree Dunaway Lawson and the late Boyce Lawson. Florence was employed by Greenwood School District for over 30 years, where she was a lunchroom dietitian. She was a member of Clinton Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are two sons, Mike Lawson of Greenwood and Gregg Brown (Jimmie) of Ninety Six; a sister, Shirley Longshore of Newberry; two brothers, Raymond Lawson and Billy Joe Lawson, both of Clinton; two grandchildren, Christian Brown (Angel) of Greenwood and Lauryn Moss (Stephen) of Ninety Six; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Ann Brewington and Mildred Foster. Pallbearers will be Terry Longshore, Doc Longshore, Jody Foster, Tony Brown, Doug Hazel, and Dean Barnett. The family is at the home.
