Florence Harley McClendon, 70, of 924 Crump Street, widow of Wayne McClendon, died Saturday, August 30, 2014 at University Hospital in Augusta. Born in Savannah, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Klugh Harley and Florence Tolbert Harley. Florence was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wayne McClendon and by a brother, John Hampton Harley. Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth (Paul) Sweeney of North Augusta, Tina (Chris) Fields of Evans, GA and Leslie McClendon of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Robert Harley of Seattle, WA; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Family members are at their respective homes.
