Forrest Franklin McIntosh, 90, of 209 Spring Street, Ninety Six, husband of Myrtle Floyd McIntosh, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at his home.
Born in Ninety Six, he was the son of the late Everett and Clara Bele Davis McIntosh. Forrest served his country in the U. S. Navy during WWII having served on the USS Flaherty. He retired from Greenwood Mills- Ninety Six Plant. After his retirement he started McIntosh Awning and Siding Company. Forrest was a member of Ninety Six Church of God where he taught Adult Sunday School for over 30 years.
He was twice married, first to the late Ruby Wright McIntosh and was preceded in by two brothers, Carroll McIntosh and Lewis O. McIntosh; and a step daughter, Jackie Tucker.
Surviving are his wife of the home; three sons, Terry McIntosh (Brenda) of Greenwood, Allen McIntosh (Kathy) and Keith McIntosh (Gay), both of Ninety Six; a sister, Juanita Mangosh (Ted) of Cleveland, OH; three stepdaughters, Patricia Rushton, Bobby Sue Mitchell and Joyce Calhoun; a step son; Buck Floyd; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Eric McIntosh, Cameron McIntosh, Vaden Hallman, Tim Whitman, Alex McDonald and Bradley McDonald.
Honorary escorts will be the men of the church.
