Frances "Nanny" Vinson Smith, 75, of Greenwood, beloved wife of Fred Allen Smith, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Florence Blackwell Vinson. Frances retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She attended Pine Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her daughters, Kim Butler (Dennis) of Greenwood and Tammy Stevenson (Scott) of Abbeville; a bonus son Michael Baldwin (Candi) of Alabama; a sister, Patsy Vinson of Honea Path; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2pm on Friday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Barry Butler, Rev. Randy Ouzts and Rev. Jonathan Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be D. J. Butler, Gatlin Smith, Cagney Butler, Jayden Proctor, Caden Crowe, Gage Massey and Kyle Yates.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8pm.
