James Franklin "Frank " Hastings, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood County on April 26, 1935, he was the only child of the late William Vernon and Mary Grace Harvey Hastings. Frank was a 1952 graduate of Greenwood High School. After graduation, he began working for Greenwood Mills, spending most of his career in the cotton department, where he was a cotton buyer, retiring in April 2000 after 48 years. Frank was a member of Restoration Ministries Church. Surviving are two sons, David Hastings (Kelly) and Frankie Hastings (Kathy), both of Greenwood; grandchildren, Lacy Hastings of Charlotte, NC, Hunter Hastings of Washington, DC, Nicholas Hastings of Greenwood, Austin Hastings of Anderson and Dylan Hastings of Greenwood. The family would like to thank Dr. Carlos Manalich, Dr. Joanna Sadurski, Dr. Robert Todd of Hospice House and the staff of NHC Health Care for the care and concern that was shown to Frank during his extended illness.
