Franklin Dexter Sove, 89, of Grand Harbor, Ninety Six, husband of Sharon Ford Sove, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023, at his home.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was a son of the late Alf and Esther Larsen Sove, originally from Oslo and Skien, Norway. He served as an SSG technical instructor in the U. S. Air Force at Chanute AFB and was a graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago. Frank worked as Vice President of Tang Industries for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer and long-time member of Grand Harbor Golf Club. Frank was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Greenwood and a believer in the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Finn and Ralph Sove.

Frank leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Sharon; children: Michael (Cary), Robert (Wilma), Lisa, Patricia, Ginger and Karen (Thomas); a sister, Lynn Maxson (Thomas); twenty one grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A celebration of life will be held at First Presbyterian Church at 10 am on Saturday, November 18, 2023, with the Rev. Kyle Hite officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution in the memory of Frank may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
