Frederick Kent Van Waldick, 81, husband of Nancy C. Van Waldick, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Hospice House. Born in Watertown, NY, he was a son of the late Harold S. and Irene Hart Van Waldick. Fred was a graduate of General Motors Institute, Flint MI. His entire career, after serving in the US Army during the Korean War, was in the trucking industry. He served as Sales Manager Director � Seaway Motor Express (1965-1972); Director of Maintenance � Byrns Motor Express (1972-1978); Fleet Manager � Ryder Truck Lines (1978-1980); Director of Maintenance � Ploof Truck Lines (1980-1981); Vice President of Maintenance � Coastal Detroit Diesel Allison Corporation (1981-2003). Surviving in addition to his wife of 27 years; is one daughter, Viki Lyn Raymond of Oak Grove, LA and two grandchildren. The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont (Hospice House), 408 W.
