Gary William Danser, 75, of Ninety Six, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at his home.
Born on July 21, 1950 in Hampton, VA, he was a son of the late David Folwell Danser and Dora Lou Wineberger Danser.
Gary was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a proud member of the Band of Brothers Motorcycle Club. He loved the brotherhood of the club and the freedom of being out on his bike. If Gary wasn't on the road, you could usually find him in his workshop. He was a "hobbyist of many things," but woodworking was his favorite. He was also a collector of many things-mostly because he refused to throw anything away. He lived by the rule that you should never scrap something you might need later, and more often than not, he was right. A tough-as-nails cancer survivor, Gary had a heart of gold. He spent his recovery making hand-crafted nameplates and signs for all the doctors and nurses at the cancer center just to say thanks. It was his way of giving back to the people who helped him through his fight. Gary was a simple man who loved his family, dogs, his craft, and a good project.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Melana Danser (Mike Thurston), Shannon Danser, and Christopher Sieburg (Alison); brothers, Joe Danser (Kathy) and Phillip Danser; grandchildren, Tyler, Makayla, Kadyn, Ashlyn, Savannah, Hudson, Lars, Ryan, Danny, Megan, Virickie, and Nicole; and seven great grandchildren.
Due to inclement weather, the memorial service has been postponed. It will now be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 7 , 2026 at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Reynolds officiating.
The family will receive friend before the service from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
