Gary Lee Moss, 73, of Greenwood, widower of Mary Elizabeth Moss, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Clyde Harrison Moss and Elizabeth Ashley Moss. He worked for Greenwood Mills, Harris Plant for many years and later went on to work security for Abney Hall. Gary was a hard worker, never met a stranger, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved his children and grandchildren all very dearly.

He is survived by his children, Anthony Ray Moss of Callison, Julie Rebecca King (Chris) of Hodges, and Scott Harrison Moss of Greenwood; son in law, Victor Barrett; a brother, Billy Moss; grandchildren, Dalton King (Oanh), Lea Williams, Victoria King, Jason Wade King, Clayton King, Kaitlyn Moss, Bubba Moss, and Sidda Jennings; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mary, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Lea Barrett; two brothers; and two grandchildren, Abby Harris and Destynee Barrett.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley Family Center.
