Freeman Eugene �Gene� Ellenberg, Jr., 66, of 107 Pine Ridge Drive, Hodges, husband of Sandra C. Dorn Ellenberg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 2, 2013 in the arms of his loving family at his home. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Freeman Eugene Ellenberg, Sr. and Mary Lou Geeter Ellenberg. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was self-employed as a maintenance technician. Surviving is his wife of the home; his children, Freeman Eugene Ellenberg, III of Hodges, Tammy Gravley (Jay) of Greenwood; Pam McGiboney (Steve) of Loganville, GA, Jeffery Ellenberg (Tanya), Brian Ellenberg and Kenneth Ellenberg, all of Texas; a sister, Diane Poplin (Bill) of Greenville; a brother, Greg Ellenberg (Pam) of Greenville; grandchildren, Alex Gravley and Eason Gravley, both of Greenwood, Traci McGiboney of Loganville, GA, Brittany Ellenberg and Zachary Ellenberg, both of Texas; and a great grandson, Brady Ellenberg of Texas. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Sisk.
