George W. Finkenstadt, 81, of 1206 Grace Street, husband of Kay Vanadore Finkenstadt, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Hospice House. Born in Union, he was a son of the late George W. and Agnes Sanders Finkenstadt. He was retired from Monsanto. He was a member of Mathews Lodge #358 A.F.M. and was a Hejaz Temple Shriner. He was a member of Harris Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of the home; his daughter, Rebecca Finkenstadt McWatty of Taylors; his son, George W. �Sonny� Finkenstadt, Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Greenwood; a sister, Elva Sullivan of Honea Path; grandchildren, Scott McWatty and his wife, Amy, of Lexington, Jeremy McWatty of Taylors, Lindsay M. Lawrence and her husband, John, Carly Beth Finkenstadt and Parker Finkenstadt, all of Greenwood; great grandchildren, Bella Grace McWatty of Lexington, Evan John Lawrence and Abbey Brooke Lawrence, both of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Scott.
