George Curtis "Spanky " Turner, Jr., 61, of 203 Ramp Road, husband of Rhonda J. Harter, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his home. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late George Curtis Turner, Sr. and Vivian Moore Turner. He was employed by Fuji Manufacturing and was formerly employed by Greenwood Mills. He was an avid fisherman and attended Temple Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of the home; children, Bo Harter, Stacey Harter, Coley Harter and Charlie and Tasha Barr, all of Ninety Six; brothers and sisters, Ronnie Turner, Georgia Lollis, Lilly Martin and Pat Turner, all of Ninety Six and Bobby Turner of Myrtle Beach; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Turner Kelley. The family is at the home.
