Obituary

Georgia Ozmint Alexander, 84, of 417 Bond Avenue, widow of Thomas Marshall Alexander died Sunday, May 09, 2010 at Hospice House. Born in Iva, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Brown Ozmint. Georgia retired from Professional Medical Products and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary. She was a member of Abney Memorial Baptist Church where she served as the assistant teacher of the Tabitha Sunday school class. Mrs. Alexander enjoyed life and her family. Surviving are a son, Steven Marshall Alexander of Greenwood; a daughter, Vickie A. Hananel of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters, Monteen Ozmint and Linda Threlkeld, both of Greenwood; five grandchildren: Brad Alexander, Amanda Werts, Marko Hananel, Alexandra Hananel and Saul Hananel; and a great granddaughter, Addison Werts. Pallbearers will be David Hananel, Brad Alexander, Matthew Thigpen, Jason Werts, Randy Alexander and Craig Drennon. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. The family is at the home of her son, Steven Alexander, 620 Saddle Hill Road, Greenwood. Memorials may be made to Hospice House, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646 or to Abney Memorial Baptist Church, Building Fund, 208 Panola Avenue Greenwood, SC 29646.
