James Gerald Gambrell, 77, of 717 Sidney Drive, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Hospice House. Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late James Jefferson and Agnes Holder Gambrell. He was retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a former mason and Hejaz Shriner and was a member of Mathews United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Alice Faye G. Havird and June G. Timmerman, both of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Gail Gambrell and a brother, Olin Dudley Gambrell.
