Gerald Ervin Hutchinson, 59, of 148 Rocking C Ranch Road, husband of Wanda Robbins Hutchinson, died Thursday, September 06, 2012 at his home. Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Lorraine Warlick Duncan and the late Frank Hutchinson. Gerald was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was employed with Eaton Corporation. He was an avid gardener and fisherman. Gerald enjoyed metal detecting on the beach and anywhere he might find lost relics. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Faye Hutchinson and by a brother, James Franklin Hutchinson. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and his mother of Greenwood are two children, Holly (Bradley) Hutchinson Rinehart and Gerald Ervin (Candida) Hutchinson, Jr., both of Greenwood; two sisters, Sheryl Hutchinson of Greenwood and Lorressa McMelon, of Pelzer; and eight grandchildren. The family is at the home of his daughter, Holly Rinehart, 1513 Woodlawn Road, Greenwood, SC.
