Gertrude Helena Talbert, 89, wife of Elmer P. Talbert, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Born on July 11, 1925 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Rafael and Vera Lenck. Trudy was a homemaker and member of Tomoka United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Lenck. Trudy is survived by her husband of 70 years, Elmer P. Talbert; two daughters, Judith A. Deskins and Nancy Talbert Caro, both of Greenwood, S.C.; her brother, William Lenck; four grandchildren, Michael, Jay, Jenny and Jon; eight great grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
