Mary Virginia �Ginny� Putnam, 83, of 112 Augusta Circle, widow of Vernon �Rock� Putnam, died Monday, May 17, 2010 at Hospice House. Born in Ninety Six on August 17, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Irma Haltiwanger Corley. She was retired from The County Bank and was a member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class. Surviving are two daughters, Judy Putnam Teseneer and her husband, Stan, of Bradley and Pat Putnam Spaid and her husband, David, of Metter, GA; two granddaughters, Jessica and Brittany Spaid of Metter; two brothers, Ed Corley of Laurens and Eddie �Bubba� Corley of Gray Court; two sisters, Nita Taylor of Greer and Nancy Turner of Johnston; sisters-in-law, Jane Corley of Johnston and Dot Boyd of Greenwood and brother-in-law, Tommie Christie of Edgefield. She loved her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Corley of Johnston and Bill Corley of Raleigh, NC and a sister, Ann Corley Christie of Edgefield. The family wishes to thank all of those who had a part in making the extended illness easier for the family.
