Obituary

Gladys Narcissus Carroll Wiley, 86, of 222 Crescent Drive, wife of James Leroy Wiley, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Hospice House of Clinton. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Robert Frank Carroll and Maybelle Reynolds Carroll. Gladys retired from Grendel Mills and was a very active member of Horeb Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Doolittle and two brothers, Lonnie Carroll and Robert Frank "R. F. " Carroll, Jr. Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are a sister, Betty Jo Porterfield (Richard) of Simpsonville; a brother-in-law, Carroll Doolittle of Greenwood; special family friends, Richard and Joyce Perrin, Jody and Leigh Hazel, Glenn and Alyson Perrin and their children, all of Greenwood; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tom Jezek, Wayne Porterfield, Greg Porterfield, Jody Hazel, Richard Perrin and Glenn Perrin. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Laurens County and Hospice House for their care. The family is at the home of Glenn and Alyson Perrin, 715 Fairway Lakes Road, Hunters Creek, Greenwood.
