Glenn Carey Kingsmore, 72, formerly of 2617 Ninety Six Highway, husband of Shirley Price Kingsmore, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Regency Hospital, Greenville.
Born in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Carey and Ella Farmer Kingsmore. Glenn retired from Greenwood Mills, Durst Plant, and was the owner of Kingsmore Enterprises. He was a member of Augusta Highway Baptist Church and the Men's Class.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years; his daughter, Glenda Kingsmore of Greenwood; his son, Michael Kingsmore (Renvie) of Ninety Six; two sisters, Edna Davis (Leon) and Charlotte Ogletree, both of Buffalo, SC; a brother, Charles Kingsmore (Corrine) of Greenwood; and grandchildren, Brandi Gardner, Ronnie Gardner and Benjy Gardner.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Beverly West, Peggy Moore, Margaret Willard, Ella Mae Dallas and Frances Burgess and brothers, Bobby Kingsmore and Earl Kingsmore.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Travis McAllister, the Rev. Jonathan Shook and the Rev. Randy McAllister officiating. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Leon Davis, Rubin Morris, Jeff Morris, Larry Kingsmore, Russell Brewer and Robert Blizzard.
Honorary escort will be Rudy Adams, Jimmy Parsons, Warren Langley, Joe Chisolm and Bobby Cook.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Family members are at their respective homes: Glenda at 210 Mathis Street North and Michael at 5507 Ninety Six Highway, Ninety Six.
