Goldie Peeler Barden, 88, widow of W. J. Barden, died Friday, February 18, 2011 at Wesley Commons. Born in Hall County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Lillie Smallwood Peeler. She was of the Holiness faith. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Shelby Barden of Greenwood, Rev. Dennis and Gail Barden of Ninety Six; a sister, Elsie Powell of Greenwood; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Margie Peeler of Greenwood; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Willie Barden, Brian Barden, Brandon Barden, Jordan Jay, Matthew Sorrow, Michael Peeler, Jeff Standridge and Hunter Baker. Honorary escort will be the staff of Wesley Commons.
