Grady Pierce Burke, 83, widower of Betty Schumpert Burke, died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Lincoln County, GA, he was a son of the late Ace David and Maude Rowland Burke. Grady was the owner of Glasgow Printing, a member of New Market Baptist Church, and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He had been active in the Greenwood Jaycees, Lions Club, and the Chamber of Commerce, with his wife Betty. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are one daughter, Joanie Ledford (Larry) of Arden, NC; three sons, Pierce Burke (Becky) and Stoney Burke (Kathy), all of Greenwood, and Jesse Burke of Columbia; twelve grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ace Burke, Michael Burke, Robert Kohler; and nephews, Bill Burke, Tom W. Smith, Jr., Michael Crouch, and Tommy Burke.
