Gussie Williamson McBride, 90, of 105 Landham Street, widow of Arthur Sam McBride, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at her home.

Born in Claxton, GA, she was a daughter of the late Bernice Wilbur Williamson and Madie Hendrex Williamson. She was formerly employed with Monsanto in quality control and a member of Lupo United Methodist Church. Gussie was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, David McBride (Jackie) of Ninety Six; two sisters, Pat Grier (Ashley) and Linda Gettys; a brother, Wilbur Williamson (Myra), all of Greenwood; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Arthur, she was preceded in death by two children, Thomas McBride and Edward S. McBride.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Lupo Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Craig Vondergeest officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends before the service on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the church.
