Gussie Yongue Werts, 99, resident of Lowman Home, White Rock, widow of Andrew C. �Drew� Werts, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Born in Bowman, she was a daughter of the late Robert M. and Maggie Kizer Yongue. She retired from Self Memorial Hospital and, for 81 years, was a member of the Clemson Home Demonstration Club, where she was named Homemaker of the Year. Mrs. Werts was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of Ninety Six. Surviving are two daughters, Lena Kate Leagan of Pomaria and Rebecca W. Trapp (Richard) of Little Mountain; a son, Robert A. Werts of West Columbia; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Marion Clyde Werts.
