Henry Strock, 87, passed away February 22, 2013 after a brief illness. Henry was born on October 13, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio to Anna Kovach. He was raised in Cumberland, Maryland by Anna Kovach Strock and Paul Strock with his two brothers, Edward and Joseph. After high school, Henry joined the U.S. Army in Nov. 1943, earning the rank of 1st Lieutenant. In 1950, he graduated from Syracuse University. He married Ruth M. Spoor in 1952, and remained happily married until her death on May 1, 2011. Together they had five children: H. Paul Strock (Judi Strock), Sheila A. Strock (Keith Minnich), Sharon R. Strock (Jay Shestak), Sara Strock and Michael Strock. In addition to his children, he is survived by his grandchildren: Brett Strock, Abby Strock, Paul Minnich, Anne Minnich, Sarah Minnich, Eric Windzigl, Bryan Windzigl, Carole Moody, and Nicole Gaylord and eight great-grandchildren. Henry had a remarkable career, spending most of his time in New York City, but having the opportunity to live in Paris, France and travel world-wide. He began his career as an accountant with Price Waterhouse in his early years and before retiring, he became the Senior Vice-President/Financial Analysis and Acquisitions with The Interpublic Group of Companies. Henry will be remembered for his love of life, quick humor and infectious laugh. He was a Beautiful Dreamer!
