Harold �Big Daddy� Smith, 84, of 222 Old Laurens Greenwood Highway, Waterloo, husband of Rebecca Joyce McGookin Smith, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his home. Born in South Carolina, he was a son of the late Floyd Edgar Smith and Bertha Coursey Smith Tipton. He retired from Borden Ice Cream after 47 years of service. He had been inducted into the Bowing Association Hall of Fame and bowled in the Men�s League on Wednesday nights. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is his wife of the home; a daughter, Carol Howard (Steve) of Ninety Six; a son, Tommy Smith (Linda) of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Katy Howard, Christopher Howard, Patricia Gilbert, Glenn Smith, Kristian Smith, Timothy Smith and Landon Smith; two great grandchildren, Serra Gilbert and Michael Gilbert. He was preceded in death by a son, William Michael Smith.
