Harold E. Horne, 85, husband of Linda Timmerman Horne, died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Hospice House.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late D. B. and Lucille Kay Horne. He was retired from the Greenwood Mills Compound, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving in addition to his loving and faithful wife, Linda; are nephews, Keith Timmerman (Susan) of Abbeville, Todd Timmerman (Shawn) and Mark Timmerman (Robin), of Greenwood; great nieces, Holly Timmerman and Kayla Timmerman and great nephews, Reed Timmerman, Chase Timmerman, Wade Timmerman, Blake Timmerman, Frankie Timmerman and Al Timmerman.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Dr. Terry Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be his great nephews.

Honorary escort will be members of the Helping Hands Sunday School Class along with Mike Judy, Morris Holmes, David Horne, Jerry Davenport and Stanley Davenport.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m.

Family members are at their respective homes.
